Thomas J. Campbell
Mr. Campbell is President and Founder of DC Capital Partners, LLC, a private equity firm with offices in Washington D.C. and Alexandria, VA, which focuses on investing in the defense and federal sectors. He has over 20 years of private equity, investment banking and merchant banking experience. From 1992 through 2006, he was a partner of Veritas Capital and Co-Founder of The Veritas Capital Fund LP. In addition, he was one of the two Managing Members of the successor fund, The Veritas Capital Fund II. Prior to that time he was a senior member of the Merchant Banking Group of Wasserstein & Perella Co., Inc. where in addition to his investment activities, he also advised on select merger, acquisition and restructuring engagements such as the Time Warner merger and the restructuring of WPP.
Prior to the founding of Wasserstein & Perella Co., Inc. in 1988, Mr. Campbell was an officer of Manufacturers Hanover Trust Co., where he was a member of the Acquisition Finance Group responsible for originating, structuring and syndicating leveraged loans for such notable sponsors as KKR and Sam Zell among others. He began his business career as a staff accountant at Coopers and Lybrand where he advanced to the position of tax manager, CPA, before his departure, having provided an array of services to clients, including transaction services, for clients, such as American Can and Primerica.
Mr. Campbell has been responsible for and/or monitored investments and served as a member of the Board of Directors of companies including, but not limited to, Pneumo Abex Corporation, Maybelline, Inc., HITCO Technologies, Inc., Bar Technologies Inc., Integrated Defense Technologies, Inc., TRAK Microwave, Inc.,Vertex Aerospace Corporation (formerly “Raytheon Aerospace”) DynCorp International Inc., Continental Electronics Inc., Enterprise Electronics Inc., Athena Innovative Solutions Inc., The Wornick Company, McNeil Technologies Inc., and Trawick Associates Inc.
Mr. Campbell is currently Chairman of National Interest Security Company, LLC (“NISC”), a government services company which primarily serves the intelligence community, the Department of Homeland Security, the Department of Defense, and the Department of Energy. He is the Chairman of Elite Training & Security, LLC, a global, diversified provider of training and security services to the Department of State and the Transportation Security Administration. He is also the Chairman of TSG Holdings L.L.C., which holds a controlling interest in The SPECTRUM Group, a Washington D.C. area consulting firm.
Mr. Campbell received a B.S. from Lehigh University where he double-majored in Finance and Accounting. He currently is Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Fordham Preparatory School, is a member of the Board of Trustees of The Pomfret School and is a member of the Board of Directors and Treasurer of the National Guard Youth Foundation.
Gail Dady
Ms. Dady is a Partner at DC Capital Partners. Previously she served as a Principal at Veritas Capital. Ms. Dady managed the Washington D.C. office of Veritas Capital where, in addition to making and monitoring investments, she acted as liaison to government and industry, and assisted in the creation and execution of business development initiatives for portfolio companies.
Prior to joining Veritas Capital, Ms. Dady worked as a consultant with The SPECTRUM Group, a leading defense industry consultancy, advising clients engaged in the defense and aerospace sectors on strategic and business development issues. Ahead of that, she served as a Managing Director of Quarterdeck Investment Partners, Inc. (“Quarterdeck”), a leading boutique investment banking firm specializing in the aerospace, defense and technology sectors. Ms. Dady was responsible for managing such firm’s M&A advisory practice and also for establishing its Washington, D.C. office. Prior to Quarterdeck, Ms. Dady served for 20 years in the United States Navy (1973-1993), attaining the rank of Commander. During the latter part of her naval career, she enjoyed notable assignments with the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the Commander of Allied Forces Southern Europe.
Ms. Dady is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and serves on the Board of Directors of the National Guard Youth Foundation, overseeing the Foundation’s National Awareness Campaign and chairing the Scholarship Committee and the Grant Committee. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Institute for World Affairs and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the National Interest Security Company, LLC, Elite Training & Security, LLC, and The SPECTRUM Group.
Ms. Dady holds a B.A. in Political Science from East Tennessee State University and an M.A. in International Relations from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. Ms. Dady served as a Federal Executive Fellow at the Center for International Affairs at Harvard University.
Douglas T. Lake Jr.
Mr. Lake is a Partner at DC Capital Partners. Most recently he has been involved with the acquisitions of Multi-Threaded, Inc., Kaseman, LLC, Edge Consulting, Inc., Information Manufacturing Corporation, Athenyx, Inc., Omen, Inc., the intelligence services division of Global Analytic IT Services, Inc., and Technology and Management Services, Inc. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the National Interest Security Company, LLC and Elite Training & Security, LLC.
Prior to joining DC Capital Partners, Mr. Lake previously worked at Veritas Capital. At Veritas, Mr. Lake was directly involved in the evaluation, structuring, negotiation, financing, and execution of private equity transactions. In addition, Mr. Lake worked closely with portfolio companies in developing strategic and financial plans, assessing add-on acquisition opportunities, and executing the financing for such acquisitions. Mr. Lake began his professional career working in corporate finance at J.P. Morgan Securities.
Mr. Lake holds a B.A. in Economics from Trinity College and an M.B.A. from Columbia Business School.
Nicholas J. Campbell
Mr. Campbell is an Associate at DC Capital Partners. Prior to joining DC Capital Partners, Mr. Campbell worked in the Investment Banking division of Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc. In that capacity, he was a member of a team that advised both strategic and private equity clients on mergers, acquisitions, and capital market financings, across a broad range of industries.
Mr. Campbell holds a B.A. in History from Yale University
